Charles Amoah started his career as a drummer but became a disco and highlife mainstay. He dropped his Sweet Vibration album in 1984 on Milos Music and it has since become a collector's classic. Finding a copy nowadays is hard and expensive so be sure to lap up this reissue which features backing vocals from Petra Amoah, bass guitar from Eline Thomas and guitar, synths, trumpet and much more from a whole host of other guests. Musically it is a joyous vision of disco and highlife with plenty of mad studio effects, lush guitars and candied vocals.
