This reissue collects both the 12" and 2x12" released by Chain reaction, plus two bonus tracks, adding up to a beautifully coherent long player that more or less defines the genre at its lushest. The all-analogue fidelity and reductionist integrity makes for nothing less than an immersive experience as you trace the lulling pulse of padded kicks through oceans of spirit-wash reverb and tape-saturated delay.
 
Most of the ten tracks perform that rarest of balancing acts, poised between driving, body-gratifying club music and centre-of-the-storm tranquility, at once upbeat yet static, visceral but intangible. If you've not heard this material before, you're in for a huge treat - especially if you enjoyed that recent Huerco S. album or are a fan of classic Basic Channel.
