Originally recorded in Paris in 1975, Ken Andi Habib is the landmark debut LP from Algerian saxophonist Freh Khodja, accompanied by Les Flammes—a collective of immigrant musicians, including Cape Verdean artists, and backed by vocalists from El Salem. It's a vibrant melting pot of North African melodies, jazz, funk, Latin/Caribbean grooves, and Cape Verdean coladeira, now restored through a first-ever remaster for its 2025 reissue.
