Lopez Walker is probably remembered best for the excellent roots tunes he recorded for Roy Francis' Phase One label in the late '70's Jah Jah New Garden and Send Another Moses.  He must have come to the attention of Joe Gibbs, whose studio was probably used to record those tracks, who cut this one-away blues dance tune with the singer.  Thin on the ground at the time, and overlooked ever since, it's forlorn vocal perfectly evokes heartbreak, a winsome flute melody floating throughout, turn it over for a spectacular Errol Thompson dub that all connoissuers of Joe Gibbs' dubs from that time should immediately familiarise themselves with.  A lost gem.
