Last October, Echo Chamber Sound/Run It Red owner LQ sent Future Retro label head Tim Reaper a track he'd made with Kloke called '2049.' From the first listen, he says he knew it had to be on the label. It is a brutal track with dense, precision-engineered breakbeats and crashing hits that occasionally pull back to reveal moody synth underworlds before dropping in one again with a flurry of chaotic energy. Equinox was the obvious choice for remixer because I knew "I knew that he'd be able to build on the dark amen flavour of the original whilst taking it to a new place that still respects the vibe." It's textured, shape-shifting and rides up and down the rhythm, all with an eerie backlit glow.
