Red Dust is a label from photographer and Moment’s Notice creator-curator, George Nelson. It is a platform to release live improvised sessions recorded at George’s Moment’s Notice events. Each release is titled after the running time of the live recording.

The debut Red Dust release is a fully improvised trio recording featuring three of the UK’s elite improvisers, multi-wind player Tamar Osborn, drummer Will Glaser and Balimaya Project/Kokoroko keyboardist, Yohannes Kebede. Three musicians with no previous record of playing together in any context – much less improvising – met at AMP Studios, Peckham to spontaneously compose in front of a live audience. The result is a meditative yet propulsive journey, an exercise in joyful poise, a manifesto of deftness and subtlety.
