Skully, Taymour – Dubplate

More top drawer dancehall edits from London’s diy records, pairing Skully’s chop of Vybz Kartel with another Taymour cut of Skeng after a blink ’n miss drop at the start of ’25

After making a strong impression with his autotune accentuation of Skeng at the top of the year, Taymour tailors another Skeng joint to moodier tastes with a punchy, acid-edged undertow to the MC’s hoarse flow on a B-side bound for proper club traction. The A-side hosts Skully on a revamp of Vybz’ ‘Fast Life’ galvanised with militant trills and absolutely bullish bassline and darkside chord stabs to deadly effect.
