Txema González – Alabaos y Gualíes: Dirges and Funeral Rites in the Afro-Colombi

A hauntingly beautiful cassette documenting the sacred musical traditions of Colombia’s Afro-Pacific communities. Featuring alabaos (dirges) and gualíes (children’s funeral songs), this release captures raw, deeply spiritual harmonies passed down through generations. A vital ethnographic recording preserving the ritual soundscape of mourning, resilience, and ancestral memory.
